Public policy

Payments, balance & refunds

Plain-language terms for all visitors. Last updated March 2026.

Platform fee

For eligible sales where a registered seller is linked to a product, the platform retains 5% of that product line’s price. The seller’s share of the remainder is credited to their store balance after staff approval of each sale (minor rounding may apply per line).

Gift cards

Gift cards are sold as digital products. After payment, codes are sent by email. Redeeming a code adds that value to the signed-in user’s store balance. Gift card purchases are not automatic seller payouts on linked listings unless we state otherwise.

Store balance

Balance can be used toward purchases at checkout. You can request a withdrawal to a UK bank account; payouts are processed manually by staff after they verify your details. Minimum withdrawal amounts may apply.

Refunds

Where a refund is agreed for a purchase, refunds are issued as store credit to your account balance only. We do not refund the original card or payment method through this store. Use your balance on a future order or follow staff instructions for exceptional cases.

Chargebacks & payment disputes

Card networks may reverse a payment (chargeback). If that happens, fulfilment and any balance movements already made may need to be reviewed. Contact support with your order reference; staff will coordinate any adjustment in line with these terms.

Reviews (vouches)

After a completed purchase you may be asked to leave a short public quote and star rating. Reviews appear on our Vouches page. You must submit a review for your oldest completed order that does not yet have one before you can place another order.

Paying at checkout means you agree to this policy together with any notices shown at the time of purchase. If anything is unclear, ask staff before you pay.
